As part of the collaboration’s launch, Cloudfone hosted a dealer’s event at the 9501 Restaurant at ABS-CBN’s Eugenio Lopez, Jr. (ELJ) Building last 04 December 2014. Hosted by TV anchor Gretchen Fullido and Jayson Gainza reprising his role as Tito Bhoy, the Cloudfone Dealer’s Event, entitled as Game KNB, deviated from the customary speeches and remarks, offering the guests with a talk show-like production.

Following the visit to the Walled City, the participants were then treated to a feast for the eyes, a quality art exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, which houses pre-colonial, modern, and contemporary Philippine art.

With a Filipino-themed dinner set-up, the non-native guests were challenged to try balut, a Filipino delicacy, to further immerse the said patrons in the Philippine Culture. Further, multi-awarded Bayanihan, the Philippine National Folk Dance Company, offered the guests with a vibrant and ethereal forty-five minute performance of cultural and folk dances—from tinikling to singkil, and even the maglalatik.

Harmonizing with the sugary creations of distinguished fashion designer Eric de los Santos, the Candy Dandy trend kicks the eye-catching pastel tones up a notch with shapely silhouettes and bold detailing. Romantic yet modern, this cut direction has rounded fringes, but the overall shape has a square outline with longer layers. Whether on short directional haircuts or long hair variations, rounded fringes dominate throughout this trend look whilst the color palette of soft smoky greys, apricots and pale blondes all help to enhance the Candy Dandy vibe.


White Hot – Asymmetric shapes shot through with red tonal combinations

Delicate, elegant, and seductive, White Hot combines the soft colors of milk and ivory with the fiery shades of scarlet and crimson to bring a pop of spice. This trend offers asymmetric shapes shot through with red tonal combinations. The dominating aspects of the White Hot haircuts are flatter internal shapes which are offset with variations of asymmetry. Chevrolet Distributors Conference 2014 – One World Futbol Project

Held on the 12th of March 2014, as a founding sponsor of the One World Futbol Project, Chevrolet Asia’s executives and general managers set off to St. Vincent de Paul at Bacoor, Cavite for the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity of this year’s Chevrolet Distributors Conference.

Essentially, the One World Futbol Project, where play and sport are used to foster social change, and Chevrolet have partnered to bring the joy of soccer and play to the youth around the world. Accordingly, Chevrolet has pledged to support the donation and distribution of more than one million One World Futbols over three years to disadvantaged communities in every corner of the globe.

Subsequent to the short address given by Chevrolet’s Mr. Akshay Jaising, Chevrolet then donated the nearly indestructible soccer balls to the young football enthusiasts at St. Vincent de Paul, which was then followed by a friendly game for the children.

The activity concluded with a thank you speech from the Chevrolet team. The executives, together with the children and their new Chevrolet-branded One World Futbols, gamely posed for a group photo.

In line with this corporate activity, Lead Events PH was in charge of the sounds and set-up at the St. Vincent de Paul soccer field. The said set-up includes the twelve Chevrolet flags (two 4-meter flags and ten 2-meter flags) in addition to the placement of the Chevrolet vehicles, the Chevrolet Colorado for instance, as shown in the photo below.

Dubbed as “the dance party you have always imagined and will never forget”, BlueBall 2014 made history in the Philippine party scene, outstretching the conventional parties and shindigs mounted in Metro Manila. Helmed by BoyCircuit International, BlueBall 2014 lured thousands of partyphiles, especially the LGBT community, into the MetroTent at Metrowalk Ortigas on 28 February 2014, given that it was the first of its kind to take place in the country. From performances by Las Vegas’ Victoria Michaels and Manila’s Jaja to globally acclaimed DJs such as DJ Spencer Reed from Germany, DJ Sinna-G from the US, and our very own DJ Brian Cua, the ambitious LGBT dance event adhered to its promise of an unparalleled party experience. Following the event, BlueBall 2014, being more than just a dance party, donated a portion of its profits to local organizations devoted to HIV treatment and awareness.

ASEAN’s 7th Regional Trade Capacity Building Workshop in Richmonde Hotel

MANILA, Philippines—Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member State delegates and Secretariat officials, along with ASEAN Member States private sector representatives, graced the Philippine shores for the seventh Regional Trade Capacity Building Workshop at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. With delegates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, the said training workshop took place on 8-11 April 2013, mainly priming its participants with key information on preparing and conducting a preferential trade negotiation; and simulations of a multilateral free trade agreement (FTA) negotiation on trade in goods, services, and investment.

As part of the Enhancing ASEAN FTA Negotiating Capacity Programme, a partnership between the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the seventh training workshop consisted of two modules and several sessions as conducted by Dr. Carolyn Gates, team leader of the FTA Programme, and Dr. Edwini Kessie, Non- Agricultural Market Access (NAMA) Expert. Zeroing in on issues dealing with trade policy and new trade issues, it worked towards further strengthening the capacity of ASEAN Member States to conduct FTA trade negotiations and promoting ASEAN economic integration.

Following the aforementioned modules, the final session summarized and assessed the outcomes of the workshop through wrap-up discussions in addition participant feedback. The four-day training workshop concluded on 11 April with the closing ceremony and awarding of certificates by Dr. Carolyn Gates and Dr. Edwini Kessie.
