Last 15 May 2015, German prosthetics company, Otto Bock, has graced the Philippine shores, aiming to help, aid, and make life easier for people with disabilities. With a 90-year history, Otto Bock has pursued to improve the mobility of people and protect what mobility they have through its innovative products.

As part of its day-long inauguration, the celebration commenced with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Otto Bock Philippines Corp. office at Taipan Place, Ortigas as led by Otto Bock Philippines’ Business Development Manager, Ms. RJ Amoyo, Otto Bock Philippines’ Managing Director, Mr. Peter Goldberg, and Otto Bock Head of Group Finance and Treasury and Regional President Asia/Pacific, Mr. Ralf Stuch.


Following the ceremony held at the Manila office, the guests then proceeded to the Oakroom Bar for a private cocktail party and to The Nostalgia Lounge at the Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center for the main program and exclusive dinner.

Hosted by commercial model and TV and events host, Valerie Tan, the evening program included speeches and presentations made by Otto Bock’s Mr. Peter Goldberg, Mr. Ralf Stuch, and Mr. Matthias Kittler, priming the attendees with Otto Bock’s history and enduring capability of innovation.


Otto Bock continues to set new standards with regard to caring for people with disabilities. From the use of cutting edge technology to produce better prosthetics to investing in long- term research and innovative design, Otto Bock is the acknowledged leader, and trailblazer, the world over. This was further established by Joe, a patient wearing the Otto Bock Genium X3, carrying out daily tasks.

Subsequent to the live demo, the attendees were serenaded by X-Factor Philippines’ Doc Eric from Daddy’s Home as dinner was served. The program concluded with a raffle draw wherein lucky guests went home with a brand new iPad mini and a GoPro Hero 4. The grand prize was an all expense paid trip to Germany where the winner can visit the Otto Bock headquarters in Duderstadt.
