Mayekawa Philippines Corporation 25th Anniversary at the Garden Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La
Held last 14 October 2016 at the Garden Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La, Mayekawa Philippines Corporation, an integral part of the Philippines’ refrigeration and cooling industry, celebrated their 25th anniversary. With a strong and solid foundation, Mayekawa Philippines performs on a world-class level because they are part of an even bigger global company—Mayekawa Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Which started in Japan in 1924.
Hosted by TV and events host, Ms. Valerie Tan, the program commenced with the welcome remarks by the General Manager of Mayekawa Philippines, Mr. Alexander Jaingue. Subsequently, a congratulatory speech was delivered by Ms. Leni Beltran, Mayekawa Philippines’ Accounting and Finance Manager, in place of former Senate President, Hon. Edgardo Angara—an individual who has always shown strong support for Mayekawa Philippines.
As part of the event ceremony, the CEO and President of Mayekawa Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Mr. Tadashi Maekawa, graced the event and imparted inspiring words for Mayekawa Philippines, a preview of how it has grown in the last decades.
Serving as the event highlight, the kagami biraki was performed as led by Mr. Tomei. Essentially, it is a Sake barrel-lid breaking ceremony which is a traditional Japanese custom. It is part of their way of celebrating special events, particularly to symbolize new beginnings.
During dinner, the guests were serenaded by the Golden Girl of Jazz, Olivia.
Among the people who will lead Mayekawa Philippines into more years of progress, Mr. Akihiro Watanabe, President of Mayekawa Philippines Corporation, formally closed the program, giving the guests inspiration and motivation to take on the coming years and making them more successful and meaningful.
To add to the event’s merriment, the guests were then invited to get up, dance, and party with the music of the Silk band.
